Our academy boasts a track record of nurturing highly successful players at high school, collegiate, and professional levels.
- We impart quality movement patterns for both offense and defense.
- We guide players to enhance their productivity in offensive and defensive roles.
- We train players to become adept base runners.
- We conduct speed and conditioning training sessions.
- We instill mental skills that contribute to player productivity.
- We coach players to improve throwing efficiency, arm speed, and velocity, ensuring overall throwing health.
- We teach players to master barrel control, augment bat speed, and optimize swing efficiency, along with the correct mental and physical batting approach.
Pete Shier, the Scorpions Baseball Director of Baseball Development, will lead the Instructional Academy. His professional playing career includes a decade with Baltimore and Philadelphia, a former associate scout role for the Chicago Cubs, and his current position as a Hitting and Infield Coordinator with Major League Baseball.
With over 15 years of coaching experience across different levels and a host of accolades, Coach Shier will be joined by some of the Scorpions staff, as well as former collegiate players and both current and former professionals in guiding the Academy.
